    Dorothy Jean Griffin, 69, of Benton, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 29, 2018. Dorothy was born to the late Rufus and Dorothy Williams Brooks on September 30, 1948, in Malvern, Arkansas.  Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents Rufus and Dorothy Williams Brooks, and a sister, Loretta Parker. Dorothy leaves behind her significate other of 25 years, Jerry Perrett, her children, Rodney Hughes (Debbie), Tracy Griffin, Penny McKim (Darren), Tammy Stanford (Laura), James “Bit” Griffin (Kerrie), 7 grandchildren, Hunter Hughes Mackenzie Hughes, Josh Shackelford, Jacobe Shackelford, Jordan Shackelford, Dylan McKim, Jeanie McKim,  one great-grandchild,  Liam McKim, her sisters, Mary Diniro, and Joyce Biedrzycki and many other loved ones. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at 11:00 am at the Atkinson Funeral Home Chapel in Malvern with Kevin Spurlin officiating.  Visitation will start at 10:00 am one hour prior to the service.  Pallbearers will be Rodney Hughes, James Griffin, Jacobe Shackelford, Joshua Shackelford, Dylan McKim and Hunter Hughes.

    Aunt Jeanie you was the most sweetest person I know just can't believe your gone glad I was able to spend time with you your going to be missed so much I love you take care of my mom for me

    Dorothy was an angel sent down to be my mom for 39yrs.she was most caring,loving woman i knew. She was my best friend besides mom she was always there for me and i was always tbere for her i will always treasure the time i had with her.
